I see therapy as a sacred site to bear witness to and support the whole person lingering in and around the thresholds of life.
Hi, I’m Jennie (she/her).
I’m an Asian-American psychotherapist, 1.5 generation immigrant, parent, and woman of color based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (unceded Lenape Land).
I work with multifaceted adults like you, who are seeking relief and liberation at the intersections of their complex identity and life.
Therapy is a space where you are seen and accepted for all that you are, where we can safely explore your thoughts and feelings, untangle and heal wounds, and tend to the messiness of our humanity. It is also a space to reimagine the edges of liminality towards possibilities of abundance, openness, deeper connection and integration.
Before becoming a therapist, I studied fine arts (printmaking!) in undergrad, taught art at an elementary school in Cambodia, and worked with sexually trafficked youth in the Bronx as a counselor. Eventually, I decided to pursue a dual graduate degree in Social Work and Divinity to learn about how we develop attitudes and beliefs about ourselves and the world. I am so grateful to have cared for all the people and families through their most vulnerable moments in my work in hospital chaplaincy, foster care, domestic violence, sexual assault, and perinatal hospital social work, and am committed to continue supporting folks wherever they are in their lives.
Having navigated life through my own dimensional identity and experiences, I have learned that navigating change in those spaces between beginnings and endings are the most terrifying and can also be charged for growth and expansion. I am learning and unlearning alongside you, and it is my greatest honor to support your journey towards our collective vision of humanity that is well and whole.
